President Obama, Mrs. Obama, Sasha, and last but not least Mahlia,
I hope you and your family the best in this new part of your life and send out my blessings for your family.
This accomplishment that America has just made by electing and inaugurating you as the first African American President is a great stride. As you start out with Martin Luther King's dream as it is just starting to take bloom in this long journey.
As Martin Luther King said in his 'I Have A Dream' speech theres still that "uncashed check". The check of injustice meaning minorities in poverty , minorities economic situations, minorities health care, minorities housing problems, and most of all young minorities in and out of jail.
But you being elected is just the first step in a long road of getting ready to cash this "uncashed check". As you well know is going to be a long hard process that probably wont be solved in your term(s) as President but you will be the building block to the cashing of this check.
I know this is alot more than one person can handle and this is where we the people of the United States of America need to stand up and take part in this new type of Administration where everyone has a part and can make a difference.
We need to be like the country in the Civil Rights Movement and stand up for ourselves and make these final steps toward be a truely free and equal nation. Now that we as a people are finally being based on the content of our character rather than the color of our skin is a great thing but there is still a long road ahead.
